American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Recommendation
The AAP advises, and some states require, parents to keep their toddlers in Rear-Facing
car seats until age 2, or until they reach the maximum height and weight for their seat.
When Using This Car
Seat in Rear-Facing Mode
P
All infants less than one year old or 22 lb
(10 kg) must be Rear-Facing.
P
Child’s weight is between 14 and 50 lb
(6.4 and 22.7 kg).
P
Child’s height is between 25 and 43 in.
(64 and 110 cm).
P
Child is able to sit upright alone.
P
Car seat is securely installed in a rear
vehicle seating position using either the
LATCH Belt or the vehicle belt as instructed
in this manual.
NOTE:
If child weighs more than 25 lb
(11.4 kg), this car seat must be installed
with the vehicle belt.

Car Seat is properly assembled with the
Headrest, Rear-Facing Base, and the Anti-
Rebound Bar properly secured.
