RetCam System Software 
Configuration

This chapter explains how to configure the RetCam Ophthalmic Imaging System software, 
after the RetCam System is properly installed at your site. The activities described include:

Some configurations options require RetCam Administrator privileges.

Configuring the RetCam System for Use with the Optional RetCam 
Review Software

RetCam Review Software (RCRS™) is a separate Clarity product.

 RCRS provides a 

facility to store and access patient data and images over the Internet. RCRS is designed 
to communicate with RetCam 3 or RetCam Shuttle Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, running 
software version 6.0 or above. 

If your institution has purchased RCRS, Clarity recommends that you install and configure 
RCRS before you configure the RetCam 3 or RetCam Shuttle system. When you 
configure the RetCam 3 or RetCam Shuttle for use with RCRS, certain administrative 
functions are managed exclusively on the RCRS application. See

Customers who purchase RCRS receive additional instructions and support tools with 
detailed instructions for RCRS configuration, preparation, functionality, and use.
