General operations of Smart Search are defined below.

Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.

• Esc:

(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the

previous menu.

• Search / Mode:

(Mouse: Left click) Use this button to search through the recorded video/audio.

Available options available are search time, camera, & motion masks. Search results are
displayed on the right. Smart Search has the capability to find up to 500 files spanning 200 GB of
each HDD partition during the search.

• Seq - Page Up:

(Mouse: Left click)

• Call - Page Down:

(Mouse: Left click)

• Numeric (Enter):

(Mouse: Left click in the page number shown) Use this button to select the

desired page in the search results.

• Camera ID:

This option defines the camera title in your search, shown on its right side.

Use the +/- buttons to change the camera ID.

• Start/End Time:

This option defines the (Year, Month, Date, Hour, Minute) of the recorded data.

Files will be searched from the start & end time entered. Use the +/- buttons to change the time.

• Matched File List:

This shows your search results according to the search time, camera, & motion

masks. Files are arranged from oldest to newest. Available options are (1) press Enter to open
Smart Search Playback display of a specific search result, (2) press the Play Buttons (Mouse:
Left click twice) to playback the file directly, or (3) press the Copy Button (Mouse: Left click) to
backup (copy) the selected video/audio directly to a USB drive.

• Area:

This option defines the motion areas on the camera you want to use. The area you select on

the camera will be searched. Press Enter (Mouse: Left click) to call up the Motion Area Setting
screen. In that screen, the camera is divided into many small grids. If an area is transparent, it will
not be searched. If an area is grey, it will be searched.

• +/- : (Mouse: Left click and drag) Use these buttons to resize the selected area.
• Enter: Use this button to set/reset the selected area.
• Mode: Use this button to set/reset the entire area.
• Esc: Press this button to escape and return to Smart Search screen.
