
Video Loss Menu
In Camera Setup, click Enter to access the Video Loss Setup menu. The Video Loss Setup allows the
administrator This defines how the system responds when video loss is detected.
General operations of this menu are defined below.

Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• Numeric:
(Enter) Use the number buttons to select the camera.
• Copy:
Use this button to copy the Video Loss settings of the focus camera to all the following
cameras. (EX. focus camera is 5, its Video Loss settings will be copied to those of cameras 6-16.)
• Esc:
(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the
previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, Esc (Mouse: Right Click)
to exit without saving.
• Duration:
This defines the response duration for how long (in seconds) the Alarm Out relay and
the Buzzer will be triggered after video loss is detected on the corresponding camera. The Alarm
Out relay and Buzzer will be reset immediately once the camera returns to a normal state.
Use the +/- buttons to adjust the duration.
• Camera to go:
This defines what preset position the camera is set to go to if video loss is detected on
the corresponding camera. “Camera to go” is a function meant specifically for a PTZ camera.
• Goto Preset:
This defines the preset position on the “Camera to go” channel if video loss is detected.
• Pre-record:
This defines how long video will be saved if video loss is detected on the
corresponding camera. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the value (0-10 seconds, discrete).
The actual pre-recorded time may be shorter than the value set if the size of the pre-recorded file
exceeds the designated buffering size of the DVR’s memory.
• Alarm Out:
This defines which Alarm Output will be triggered when video loss of the
corresponding camera is detected. Use the +/- buttons to select none (N/A) or one of the Alarm
Outputs (1-4).
• Buzzer:
This defines activation of the internal Buzzer when video loss is detected on the
corresponding camera is detected. Use the Enter button or +/- (Mouse: Left click to
check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• Log:
This defines whether or not system events are logged. Click Enter or +/- to check/uncheck
this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• Screen Message:
This option defines whether the event message appears on the screen or not.
Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• E-mail:
This option defines whether an event e-mail is sent to a remote email address or not.
The e-mail will be sent to the predefined recipients the moment when the event is triggered.
Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is not checked.
• FTP:
This option defines whether a file of a recorded event video/audio files is sent to an FTP
server. Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is not
checked.
