There are five ways to search
for recorded video/audio:

(a) Search by time
(b) Search by event
(c) Smart search
(d) Search archived files
(e) POS search

In the live video output, press the
Search button to call up the Search
Menu. General operations of this
menu are defined below.

•

: Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.

• Enter:

(Mouse: Left click) Use this button to enter the corresponding Search display menu. The

Search menus and their operations are described in the following pages.

• Esc:

(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the

previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right
Click) to exit without saving.

• Instant Playback:

During live viewing, press the Play button to instantly call up the playback

menu, select a specific time, and playback the recorded data.

• Enter:

(Mouse: Left click) Use this button to enter the corresponding Search display menu. The

Search menus and their operations are described in the following pages.

• Backup Device:

Use the Enter button (Mouse: Left click) to call up Backup Device dialog.

• Disk Storage:

Select the storage device to search the archived files. Use the +/- buttons to select

the available storage devices.

• Archived File List:

This is a list of the archived files in the selected storage device. Select the file

you wish to view and then press Enter to enter the Archived File Playback display of the selected
file in this list, or press Play Buttons (Mouse: Left click twice) to play the file. Press Mode (Mouse:
Left click) to delete the selected file.
