HDD Setup

In the Setup Menu, use

▲▼

to change the highlighted option to HDD, and then press Enter

to call up HDD Setup as shown. Alarm video/audio is much more important than normal
video/audio. The DVR is designed to allow the ability to divide each HDD into an alarm partition and
a normal partition. Alarm video/audio will be recorded in the alarm partition, & normal video/audio
will be recorded in the normal partition. The HDD Setup allows the administrator to format/clear
each HDD, set Alarm Record size and Normal Record size of each HDD, and define the behavior of
Alarm Record and Normal Record if it runs out of space on the last HDD installed.

: Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.

• Mode Format/Clear:

(Mouse: Left click) Use this button to format/clear the HDDs.

• Seq Advanced HDD Setup:

(Mouse: Left click) Press this button to enter Advanced HDD Setup.

• Esc:

(Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the

previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right
Click) to exit without saving.

• Size (GB):

This shows the total size of HDD storage in GB for Alarm Record and Normal Record.

If the total alarm record size is zero, the alarm video/audio will be recorded in the normal record
partition of the HDD. If the total normal record size is zero, the normal video/audio will be recorded
in the alarm record partition of the HDD.
