Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Reason Solution
The Champion does
not expel the pulp
as it should.
The food has been
cut into pieces that
are too small.
Cut the food in pieces that are as big as possible so
that they still fit into the juicer.
The food is clogged
up because it was
put into the funnel
too slowly. Add the food at a medium speed and push the
plunger down until the food has been grated. When
you let go of the plunger, it should not extend more
than 1 cm out of the feeding chute.
The body of the
Champion is
clogged.
To empty the pulp, push on the front of the body
while adding the food or while pushing the plunger
down. This will make some noise but will not damage
the machine.
Warning! Do not reach into the the
opening of the body!
The cutter (2) is
stuck on the shaft
and is hard to
remove.
When the cutter is stuck on the shaft, tip the
Champion forward and add some drops of
penetrating oil between the cutter and machine. Place
the juicer so that it leans forward, and leave the oil
on it for 24 hours.
If the cutter still sticks to the shaft and you cannot
pull it off, insert a screwdriver between the cutter and
machine and turn the screwdriver.
Remove all parts. Clean the shaft with a piece of sand
paper. Before every use, lubricate the shaft with 2-3
drops of olive or coconut oil. Then add cold water
into the opening of the cutter. Pour the water out and
slide the cutter onto the shaft. Pull the cutter back
and forth 2 times to reduce the stoppage.
Clean the inside cavity of the cutter well by soaking
it over night in a strong solution of cold water and
washing-up liquid. Carefully scrape the inside of the
cutter with a small screwdriver to remove the residue.
Let the water drip out well, and store the cutter on
its side so that its inside cavity can dry well. Only
place the cutter on the shaft when it is being used,
otherwise store the cutter outside of the machine.
