7.4 Air filter cleaning and installation

Air filter position

.The air filter should be periodically maintained

.If the motorcycle works in high

temperature or dusty environment, the air filter cleaning or replacement interval should be shortened.

. Clean the air filter housing at least once after 2000km. Check or clean the air filter element at 1000km.

3. If the air filter element is dirty, cracked or damaged, it should be replaced. The engine efficiency can

be improved and the service life can be extended if the air filter is kept clean.

4. The air filter element of this motorcycle is sponge type. The filter can be cleaned with nonflammable

kerosene or cleaner.

5. To remove the air filter: remove the fuel tank lock, ignition lock cover and fuel tank panel. Remove the

rear seat, front seat and fuel tank rear fixed points. Lift the fuel tank and remove the the air filter screw.

Disengage the spring retainer and remove the cover, then remove the air filter

6. Reverse the removal procedure for installation.

NOTE

：

Never allow the water to enter the air filter. Otherwise the engine starting and 

acceleration could be affected.
