7.2 Engine oil inspection and change
The function of engine oil: reducing friction, sealing, cooling parts, cleaning parts, rust-proof and other
effects.
Engine oil with poor quality, excessive service life, or insufficient amount, will accelerate the wear of
engine parts and reduce the service life of engine. What’s worse, it could cause the engine temperature
to be excessively high, clutch wear or burning out, power decrease, abnormal sound, high oil consumption
and so on.

Inspect the engine oil level before each ride. There is
an oil window on the right crankcase cover. Engine oil
level should reach the upper mark on the oil
window

1. Place the motorcycle on the main stand (optional)
when checking the engine oil level.
2. When the engine oil is insufficient, add the correct
amount of SAE15W-40 / SG or higher grade oil to the
upper scale on the oil window. Install the oil filler plug
again and inspect the leakage.
WARNING: If there is insufficient engine oil, the engine
could be seriously damaged

Engine oil replacement

1. As for the new motorcycle, change the engine oil as per the schedule described in the break-in period
in page
23
.
2. Engine oil change interval after the break-in period: replace every 1500 km.
3. To change the engine oil, warm up the engine thoroughly and shut off the engine. Then drain the
engine oil (Caution: Do not get hurt by the engine or engine oil).
