Firmware Upgrade Utility

Cavium provides scripts to automate the adapter firmware and boot code upgrade
process for Windows and Linux systems. Each script identifies all 45000 Series
Adapters and upgrades all firmware components. To upgrade adapter firmware on
VMware systems, see the

User’s Guide—FastLinQ ESXCLI VMware Plug-in

or

the

User’s Guide—QConvergeConsole Plug-ins for vSphere

.

Each script executes its respective utility:

lnxfwnx2

for Linux and

winfwnx2

for

Windows. Both utilities are console applications that can be called from other
processes or used as a command line tool with parameters. For more information
about these utilities, their command syntax, and parameters, see their respective
ReadMe files.
