Configuring iSCSI Boot from SAN on VMware
In addition to setting the boot mode in the UEFI HII, follow the standard VMware
procedures for performing software iSCSI boot from SAN. Refer to the

FCoE Boot from SAN
Cavium 45000 Series Adapters support FCoE boot to enable network boot of
operating systems to diskless systems. FCoE boot allows a Windows, Linux, or
VMware operating system to boot from a Fibre Channel or FCoE target machine
located remotely over an FCoE supporting network. You can set the FCoE option
(offload path with QLogic offload FCoE driver) by opening the
NIC Configuration
menu and setting the
Boot Protocol
option to
FCoE
.
