To change replicator COM port settings
The factory default setting for the COM1 Port setting of a model
equipped with a built-in modem is “Multi-Communication Port.” When
using FIVA with an optionally available port replicator, you must
change the COM1 Port setting to “Port Replicator” before connecting
a peripheral device to the replicator’s serial port.
On the BIOS Settings screen, tap the
COM Port
tab.
Under COM Port 1, tap the selection button next to “Port Replicator”.
To use the built-in modem, you must first change the COM1 Port
setting back to “Multi-Communication Port.”
Tap the
OK
button.

Password Settings
You can register a password up to eight characters long to keep
others away from using FIVA. Once you register a password, a
prompt for password input will appear any time you turn on power or
return to Windows 98 from the
Hibernation
Mode. In such cases, FIVA
cannot be used until the correct password is input.

•
If you forget your password, you will no longer be able to startup
FIVA. Make sure you keep a separate record of the password or
that you use a password you can remember easily.
