SHOOTING A SNAPSHOT
Using the easy Mode
The easy mode eliminates tro ub lesome set u ps. This mode is
recommended for those w ho are ne w to digital imaging.
1.
In the REC mode, press [SET].
2.
Use [
S
] and [
T
] to select the second option
from the bottom in the operation panel (easy
mode).
3.
Use [
W
] and [
X
] to select “ ON” and then
press [SET].
This enters the easy mode.
4.
Focus the image.
W hile the foc u s frame is aligned w ith the s ub ject, half-press
the sh u tter bu tton.
5.
Shoot the image.
W hen the image is foc u sed, press the sh u tter bu tton the rest
of the w ay.

Using the easy Menu
The easy men u contains flash, self-timer, and image size
settings, pl u s an item for exiting the easy mode.
W hile the camera is in the easy mode, all the other settings
( b esides Self-timer, Image Size, and easy Mode) on the REC
ta b men u (page 246) and Q u ality ta b men u (page 247) are fixed
at preset optim u m v al u es. Any settings yo u config u red on these
ta b s are not u sed in the easy mode.
IMPORTANT!

To u se the Set Up ta b men u (page 24 8 ), yo u need to exit
the easy mode. To do this, select the “easy Mode” item in
step 2 of the follo w ing proced u re, and then select in
step 3. After that, yo u can u se the Set u p ta b men u as yo u
normally do.
