Battery Power Conservation Features
This camera is eq u ipped w ith a sleep f u nction and a u to po w er
off f u nction to conser v e b attery po w er. Yo u can config u re these
settings in the REC mode as descri b ed b elo w .

Sleep and A u to Po w er Off al w ays operate as descri b ed b elo w
in the PLAY mode, regardless of their c u rrent PLAY mode
settings.
– Sleep does not f u nction in the PLAY mode.
– The A u to Po w er Off trigger time is al w ays fi v e min u tes.

Turning On Power for the First Time
The first time yo u load a b attery into the camera, a screen
appears for config u ring screen text lang u age, date, and time
settings. Use the proced u re u nder “Config u ring Display
Lang u age, Date, and Time Settings” (page 11) to config u re
the settings correctly.
IMPORTANT!
•
Fail u re to set the date and time w ill ca u se the w rong
date and time data to b e recorded w ith images.
•
If yo u make a mistake w hen config u ring the lang u age,
date, and time settings, yo u can change the settings
(pages 193, 197).
