Hydraulic oil and filters
WARNING
Burn hazard!
Before performing any service on the hydraulic system, you must allow it to cool. Hydraulic fluid
temperature should not exceed 40 °C (104 °F).
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

Pressurized system!
Never attempt to drain fluids or remove filters when the engine is running. Turn off the engine and
relieve all pressure from pressurized systems before servicing the machine.

CAUTION
Escaping fluid!
Hydraulic fluid or diesel fuel leaking under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause infection or
other injury. To prevent personal injury: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting fluid lines or per-
forming work on the hydraulic system. Before applying pressure, make sure all connections are tight
and all components are in good condition. Never use your hand to check for suspected leaks under
pressure. Use a piece of cardboard or wood for this purpose. If injured by leaking fluid, see your
doctor immediately.
Failure to comply could result in minor or moderate injury.

NOTICE: If any attachment other than a bucket is used, reduce the interval of the hydraulic oil and filters replacement.
Refer to Chapter 9.
1. Park the machine on a hard and level ground. Orient
the upper structure frame so that there is enough free
space under the hydraulic tank to place a barrel of suit-
able capacity.
2. Stop the engine and remove the starter key.
3. Release all the pressure in the hydraulic tank. Refer to
page 6-10 .
4. Clean the top of the hydraulic tank, and clean the cover
of the suction filter.
5. Remove the cover of the hydraulic oil suction filter.
6. With a pump, remove the hydraulic oil from the hy-
draulic tank.
