15. When a steady stream of antifreeze ﬂows from the aft overboard discharge

ﬁtting, turn the aft waste pump switch “OFF.”

16. Close the aft waste tank overboard discharge seacock.

17. Switch the Forward and Aft Waste Pump circuit breakers on the DC Control

Center “OFF.”

18. When you remove your boat from storage and prepare to use it again, ﬂush

and pump out the waste tanks to remove the antifreeze.

Grey Water Holding System

Before performing this procedure on the optional grey water holding system,

your boat should be pulled from the water. Winterize the grey water holding

system only after you have winterized the fresh water and sanitation systems.

Refer to Section 4 - Grey Water Holding System for a description of your boat’s

grey water holding system.

There are two types of grey water holding systems: the standard system and the

overboard discharge system.

Standard System

1. Empty the grey water tank as described in Section 4 - Grey Water Holding

System. Remove as much of the fresh water used in ﬂushing the tank as

possible.

2. Turn the accessory battery bank master disconnect switch to the “ON”

position.

3. Switch the Auto Sump - Forward circuit breaker on the Safety Breaker Panel

“ON.”

You must use an approved antifreeze in your boat’s grey water holding

system. Using the wrong type of antifreeze can damage the grey water

holding system. The repair of such damage is not included under the

terms of either the Carver Limited Warranty or the grey water system

OEM’s warranty.

4. Pour 5 gallons of nontoxic recreational vehicle antifreeze through the forward

shower drain.

5. When you remove your boat from storage and prepare to use it again:

Pour 5 gallons of fresh water through each shower drain.

b. Empty the grey water tank as described in Section 4 - Grey Water

Holding System.

Charge the grey water tank by adding deodorizer. Use the brand of

deodorizer recommended by your Carver Dealer.
