The TV-VAVB3-E2 controls zone temperature using single duct or fan-powered terminals in a Variable Air Volume
application. The controller regulates the flow of conditioned air into the space. Buildings with diverse loading
conditions can be supported by controlling the local terminal's supplemental heat. The TV-VAVB3-E2 provides
dedicated control functions for single duct and fan-powered terminals with modulating heat, staged ducted heat
(up to 3 stages of ducted heat for single duct or up to 2 stages of ducted heat for fan-powered terminals), or
combination baseboard and ducted heat.
Although a TV-VAVB3-E2 can be included in a VVT system, this documentation focuses mainly on using it in VAV
applications.
NOTE
This document gives instructions for field-installation of a TV-VAVB3-E2 in an i-Vu® system. However, TV-
VAVB3-E2s are available factory-
mounted to Carrier’s 35 single duct and 45 parallel and series fan terminals. All
terminals require an integrated duct temperature sensor.
