7. Depress the foot brake pedal.

6. If the engine is cold and difficult to start, pull the choke

lever.

5. Shift the accelerator lever to the intermediate position

between "LOW" and "HIGH " speed.

* Use start motor for short times to prolong motor life. If the engine fails to start

after 15 seconds, wait about 1 minute before trying again.

* When the engine fails to start, turn key switch to "OFF" and then try restarting the

engine. Quick restarting may damage the starter gear.

* Engine will start only when brake pedal is fully

depressed, due to a safety switch.

8. Insert the key into the main switch.

9. Turn the main switch to "START" to start the engine.

(When the engine starts, release the key and it will

spring back to "ON".)
