Chapter 3 Utility Programs Used with the Printer Driver

What is the BJ Backgrounder?

Pages/Copies
Displays the number of pages in the print job
and the number of copies printing.

Cancel button
Click to cancel the current
print job in progress. For
details, see “Cancelling a
printe job”

Pause button
Click to pause the current
print job in progress. The
Pause button becomes the
Resume button while
pausing a print job. Click
the Resume button to
restart the paused print job.

Displays the progress of
the print data transfer as an
illustration.

• The BJ Backgrounder closes automatically

when the print job is completed.

Memo

When you are using background printing, the BJ Backgrounder monitors the
progress of the print data transfer from the computer to the printer.
When a print job starts, the BJ Backgrounder opens automatically and displays the
progress of the data transfer.
