The printer has a connector for an
parallel
interface and
interface as standard equipment.
Data can be input to the video controller
via the parallel or serial connector. Data is
input a page at a time and edited into the
format
by the printing environment
set using the control panel or the external
device. If the external device sends code
data. the video controller converts the data
to generate the pattern of dots that the
printer forms to build-up the complete
image. The dot data is then sent to the DC
controller.
