Appendix

Confirming the version of Updater

There is no way to confirm the version of Updater.
In case of trouble, confirm the version of the firmware installed in the device, and escalate the

issue to Field Support Group in the sales company.

Glossary

Term

Meaning

CDS

Abbreviation of Content Delivery System.

CDS enables content (firmware and applications) distribution via Internet.

Updater

Updater is Meap application in the device that communicate with CDS server to

download/update the firmware.

UGW

Abbreviation of Universal Gateway.

UGW is a system you can acquire information (Counter/Error/Jam) that has been

sent from eRDS and add it up, and to display.

eRDS

Abbreviation of Embedded RDS.

The embedded client system of the device in the e-Maintenance system.

LMS

Abbreviation of License Management System.

The system which performs the publication/management of the license for MEAP/

MEAP-Lite application, native option of iR device, DA device, iW/imageWARE

software and package product.

SMS

Abbreviation of Service Management Service.

SMS is a MEAP System Service that enables Installing/Management MEAP

Applications on Web browser.

SST

Abbreviation of Service Support Tool.

SST is a Tool for field services that download the firmware/upload the backup data.
