Subsection 04 (FRAME)
GENERAL
During assembly/installation, use the torque val-
ues and service products as in the exploded view.
WARNING
Torque wrench tightening specifications
must be strictly adhered to.
Locking devices when removed (e.g.: locking
tabs, elastic stop nuts, cotter pins, etc.) must
be installed or replaced with new ones.
PROCEDURES
TONGUE
Tongue Removal
1. Using the tongue as a lifting tool, lift front of
trailer until rear touches ground.
NOTICE
Install foam protection on the floor
to protect lower rear section.
2. Lower the front of trailer on a jack stand. Place
the jack stand to the right of the front frame
bracket.
NOTICE
Ensure to place jack stand under
frame and not under the trailer body.

3. Disconnect tongue harness from chassis har-
ness.
3.1 Using a small screwdriver lift locking tab in
connector notch.
3.2 Disconnect harness connector.
3.3 Cut locking tie.
4. While the trailer is maintained in this position,
remove the tongue from trailer.
4.1 Cut locking tie securing harness to frame.
4.2 Remove the protective trims and push the
connector into the tongue by its rectangu-
lar opening.
4.3 Remove and discard 2 retaining bolts and
nuts.
4.4 Slide tongue out of frame.
Tongue Installation
1. Insert the long straight side of the tongue in the
front frame bracket.

2. Secure the rear end of tongue using a M10 x 75
hexagonal flanged bolt and a M10 elastic
flanged nut. Do not torque yet.

3. Move the harness connector out of the tongue.
3.1 Align the connector with the rectangular
opening.
3.2 From the other side of the tongue, push
the connector through the opening using
your finger.
