NOTICE
Using another type of lubricant
could cause the cable sticking or stiffness.
1. Remove inner fascias. Refer to
INNER FAS-
CIAS
in this section.
2. Spray a small quantity of
CABLE LUBRICANT
(P/N 293 600 041)
directly onto front and rear
springs and cables.
3. Remove protective plate over latch mechanism
assembly.

CABLE LUBRICANT
(P/N 293 600 041)
directly onto front and rear
latch cables without removing them from latch
mechanism assembly.
5. Adjust the cables. Refer to LATCH CABLE AD-
JUSTMENT . Install the protective plate.
6. Install the protective plate.
7. Tighten protective plate screws to
7 N•m ± 1 N•m (62 lbf• in ± 9 lbf• in ).
Latch Cable Replacement
1. Remove inner fascias. Refer to
INNER FAS-
CIAS
in this section.
2. Remove protective plate over rear lock.

3. Disconnect both latch cables from the latch
mechanism assembly.

4. Pull both cables down through the grommets.

5. Detach cable from the rear locking mechanism.
