5 - MAINTENANCE
5.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations wear heat-resistant gloves. The engine head block (A) and the muffler (5),
the compressor head block (B) and the hydraulic hose (33) coming from the pilot valve (27) get extremely hot.
Special maintenance work is to be performed by qualified mechanics.
NOTE: Before performing any maintenance on the engine, refer to the Use & Maintenance manual supplied.
Before performing the following operations, remove the thermoplastic hood (3).
Before operating the motorcompressor, make sure that the thermoplastic hood has been mounted correctly, so as to protect the
operator from the moving parts.
Perform the procedures below in the order given:

Turn the switch (12) or the switch-lever (18) (diesel versions only) to stop the engine

Close the cock (37) on the fuel tank (gasoline versions only)

Open the exhaust valve (26) to empty the air tank.
5.2.1 Tightening the drive belts
NOTE
-
The drive belts must be adequately tensioned at all times to avoid slippage
-
If the belts need to be tensioned, contact the nearest Authorised Service Point.
5.2.2 Changing the oil in the compressor
NOTE
Perform this operation while the compressor is warm, after it has operated for a period of time.

Remove the oil filler (32)

Loosen the drain plug (36) and allow the oil to flow out
-
Close the drain plug
-
Put oil in (refer to lubricant chart) through the hole closed by the oil filler (32) until the max. level mark stamped on the dipstick
is reached.
5.2.3 Replacing the drive belt
NOTE
-
The drive belts must be adequately tensioned at all times to avoid slippage
-
If the belts need to be replaced, contact the nearest Authorised Service Point.
5.2.4 Replacing the pilot valve muffler (27)

Remove the filter and replace it.
5.2.5 Servicing the pilot valve (27)
Contact the nearest Campagnola Authorised Service Point.
5.2.6 Repairing the fittings because of air leaks

Unscrew the fitting, put TEFLON on its thread and then tighten it again. If this does not work, the fitting needs to be replaced.
5.2.7 Maintenance of the operating lever (Mod. 520 and 820, Gasoline and Diesel)

The regulation of the operating lever shall be performed by an Authorised Campagnola Assistance Point or dealer.
