INSTALLER: the person/firm responsible for designing, creating and
programming the security alarm system
USER: the person/people using the security alarm system
Description of use
The PXC99W security alarm control unit has been designed to in-
crease security in both homes and service-sector businesses, even
where the cabling for a wired system is particularly problematic
Any installation and use other than that specified in this
manual is forbidden
Security
If designed correctly, the security alarm system guarantees a high
level of security to the buildings to be protected and the users who
will use it
Some rules must be followed to ensure this is the case:
The installation must be carried out by qualified, expert per-
sonnel and fully respect the regulations in force
Check the connections of the primary power supply and the
relative connections to earth
Once the system is up and running, make sure the User has
changed the factory User Code (123456)
STANDARD EN 50131 - SPECIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS
To ensure that the system complies with standard EN 50131,
it is very important to implement the following recommendations:
•
•
the acoustic signals (buzzer) of the readers cannot be deacti-
vated;
•
•
"Memory" type inputs must not be used;
•
•
inputs configured as "Switching on" comply only if they are
controlled by devices with more than 10000 combinations;
•
•
notifications of failures of devices connected to the system are
not required by the standard, but if a device is equipped with such
notifications, it must be connected to the input showing as failed at
the control unit;
•
•
the telephone dialler must be on;
•
•
a self-powered external siren must be present on the system to
warn of any security breaches;
•
•
the command to force the arming of areas with open inputs
must not be activated;
•
•
the number of alarms to auto-exclude an input must be set be-
tween 3 and 10;
•
•
the no power warning time must be set at 1 minute;
•
•
the battery test time must be set at a value higher than 5 min-
utes;
•
•
fast switch-on must not be enabled;
•
•
the stop communication when control unit switched off option
must not be enabled;
•
•
Entry time 1 and Entry time 2 can be set at a maximum of 45
seconds;
•
•
the system screening time must be set at a value ≤ 30 seconds;
•
•
the pre-arming test must be enabled
