Connecting PC – Control unit
Once the components of the system have been defined (previous
sections), you can move on to programming the control unit from
either a keypad or the PC via direct or remote connection
Local programming via USB
Opening control unit
When the control unit is opened by removing the cover, the system
goes into alarm mode
To avoid this, you must:
1 Go into the Technical Menu
2 Open the control unit by undoing the relevant screws
3 To prevent alarms being triggered at the end of programming
because of possible programming errors, we recommend put-
ting the control unit into maintenance mode See also "START-
UP" section
4 Put the control unit into maintenance mode, setting Dip 1 to
ON
Connecting PC to control unit
1 Install the control unit programming software on your own PC
2 Connect the control unit to the PC using a type A-B USB cable
Settings on PC (to be done only once)
1 On the PC set the password to access the control unit (the
same as the Technical Code 222222 which is factory-set)
2 Select the COM communication serial port
Set the programming mode on the Control unit (to be done only
once), choosing from
• programming with control unit off
• programming with control unit off after entering user code
To set the desired mode, you must:
1 Go into the Technical Menu

3 Open the programming window, select the parameters to start
up and press start writing
Warning: the control unit is Autobauding and could require sev-
eral seconds to synchronise
Once programming is completed, restore the system to service, as
explained in the section "SYSTEM IN MAINTENANCE / SERVICE"
