PTP 450 Configuration and User Guide

Task 1: Connecting to the unit

Enter an IP address that is valid for the 169.254.X.X network, avoiding:

169.254.0.0 and 169.254.1.1 and 169.254.1.2

A good example is 169.254.1.3:

Enter a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
Leave the default gateway blank.

Connecting to the PC and powering up

To connect the BHM or BHS to the PC and power up the unit, follow these instructions:

Procedure 2

Connecting to the PC and powering up

Check that the BHM or BHS and the associated power supply are correctly
connected.

Connect the PC Ethernet port to the LAN port of the power supply using a
standard (not crossed) Ethernet cable.

Apply power to the radio power supply. The green Power LED must illuminate
continuously.
