Configuring HSB Radio Protection

Disabling Automatic Switchover to the Standby Unit 

At any point, you can perform lockout, which disables automatic switchover to the standby unit.  

To disable automatic switchover to the Standby unit: 
1.

 

Select Platform > Management > Unit Redundancy. The Unit Redundancy (HSB Protection) 
page opens. 

2.

 

Select On in the Lockout field.  

3.

 

Click Apply.  

To re-enable automatic switchover, select Off in the Lockout field and then click Apply. 

 Disabling Unit Protection 

You can disable unit protection at any time. If you disable unit protection, keep in mind that while 
the unit that was formerly the active unit maintains its IP address, the unit that was formerly the 
standby unit is assigned the default IP address (192.168.1.1) 
To disable protection: 

1.

 

Select Platform > Management > Unit Redundancy. The Unit Redundancy (HSB Protection) 
page opens. 

2.

 

Select Disable in the Protection Admin field. 

3.

 

Click Apply.
