Energy saving
• Press button ( B ). The machine is now n stand-by and automatically reduces consump-
tion.
• The buttons blink slowly and sequentially.
• Press any button to restore normal operating conditions.
Daily cleaning
• Raise the dispenser and pull out the drip-tray and used capsule drawer (Fig.12).
• Lift, empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer (Fig.13).
• Empty and wash the drip-tray.
• Clean the compartment inside the machine with a damp cloth and dry it.
• Remove the water tank (Fig.2); empty and rinse it.
N.B.: Traces of the product just dispensed may remain in the machine circuit. To
retain maximum fl avour of the beverage, it is advisable to do a short rinse when
dispensing hot chocolate or soluble beverages. Rinsing is done using a "cleaning"
capsule supplied and pressing any coff ee dispensing button.
It is advisable to carry out this procedure at least once a week.
Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean the surfaces of the appliance. Do not
use jets of water to clean the appliance.
The plastic parts of the machine, including the tank, are NOT dishwasher safe.
Descaling
Descaling alert : when the "Descaling Warning" message appears on the display screen, it
is advisable to do a descaling cycle, as illustrated below.
The machine has an advanced program that checks how much water is used to
dispense products. This measurement allows the user to know when the machine
needs a descaling cycle.
Make sure to use Caffi taly System descaler, which is designed to respect the
machine's technical characteristics, in full compliance with consumer safety. The
descaler must be disposed of according to the manufacturer's instructions and/or the
regulations in force in the country of use.
Read the precautions given on the descaler package CAREFULLY . Avoid contact
with eyes, skin and machine surfaces. Do not turn the machine off and do not raise
the lever during descaling. A person must be present during the operation.
Do not use vinegar: it could damage your machine!
• Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and drip-tray (Fig.12).
• Place a container (at least 500 ml) under the dispensing spout (Fig. 11).
• Press the button ( G ). Press the button ( O1 ) or ( O2 ) to select the “ Descaling ” menu.
