• Press the button ( 03 ) “ OK ” to activate the menu. Press the button ( O1 ) and select the
option “ YES ”; then press ( O3 ) “ OK ” to start descaling.
• The message “ Fill tank ” appears on the display.
• Pull out and empty the water tank (Fig.2).
• Mix the contents of a bottle of Caffi taly System descaler with approx. 750 cc of water (a
total of 1 litre) and pour into the tank. The level will be indicated on the tank.
• Put the tank back, making sure it is fully inserted, and refi t the cover.
• Press the button ( O3 ) “ OK ”. The message “ Close lever ” appears on the display.
• Raise the lever ( P ) to open the capsule compartment (Fig.5).
• Insert the “ cleaning ” capsule, pressing it gently inside (Fig.6).
• Close the lever ( P ) fully (Fig.7).
• Press the button ( O3 ) “ OK ”. The message “ Confi rm start procedure ” appears on the
display.
• Press the button ( O3 ) “ OK ” to start the cycle. The message “ Running ” appears on the
display.
• The machine dispenses the descaling solution at regular intervals from the coff ee dis-
penser.
• After a 3-minute pause the dispensing is repeated. This is repeated 6 times.
• If the container fi lls up, empty it out.
• At the end of the last repetition, the machine dispenses the remaining solution until the
tank is empty. The message “ Emptying system ” appears on the display.
• When the fi rst phase has been completed, the message “ Fill tank ” appears on the
display.
• Carefully rinse out the water tank and refi ll it with 1 litre of fresh water (Fig.3). The level
will be indicated on the tank.
• Empty and rinse the used capsule drawer and the container used, and replace them in
position.
• Press the button ( O3 ) “ OK ”. The message “ Rinse systems ” appears on the display.
• The machine dispenses rinse water (about 1 litre).
• When the rinse cycle has been completed, the display shows the message “ Fill tank ”.
• Carefully rinse out the water tank and refi ll it with fresh water (Fig.3).
• Press the button ( O3 ) “ OK ” to exit the cycle.
• The machine is heating up.
• Raise the lever ( P ) to eject the “ cleaning ” capsule into the drawer.
• Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and refi t it together with the drip-tray.
