front seat forward or raise the
front seatback to the upright
position in order for the
seatback to fold down flat.
4. Repeat the procedure for the
other side of the seat.
Unfolding the Seat
1. Return the seatback to the
upright position.
2. Lower the seat cushion back
to its original position.
Press down on the rear of
the seat cushion to lock the
seatback in place.
CAUTION
If the seatback isn't locked, it
could move forward in a
sudden stop or crash. That
could cause injury to the person
sitting there. Always push and
pull on the seatback to be sure
it is locked.
Pressing the rear of the
seat cushion down locks the
seatback in place.
CAUTION
A safety belt that is twisted or
improperly attached or routed
won't provide the protection
needed in a crash. After raising
a rear seatback, always make
sure that the safety belts are not
twisted and that they are
properly attached and routed.
3. Push and pull on the seatback
to check that it is locked into
place.
4. Repeat the procedure for the
other side of the seat.
