Configuring IISP

B

This section of the screen displays the current MIB command selected (atmIntfConfigSide), 
the interface selected (70101, or port 1 of ANIM 1 of the 9A686-04 installed in slot 7), and the 
type of side available for this interface. Currently, this interface is not set to be on either the 
network or user side of the stack (other). This indicates that this interface is either using ILMI 
4.0 to autoconfigure the Signalling stack, or it is using a Signalling stack that does not require 
a network or user side connection (PNNI). To configure IISP this field must be set to one of 
the following values:

user

•

network

C

Displays that the setting of the Signalling side for this interface was successful. 

Once these steps have been completed, proceed to 

Section 4.6

 to configure the reachable 

address (static route).

CAUTION

The interface on the adjacent ATM switch must be set to the opposite value of this 
interface. For example, in this example the interface on the 9A686-04 is set to 
“user”, indicating the other switch must be set to “network”.
