3.1. Replacing the Azimuth Motor
Required Materials
•
Misc Hand Tools and Fasteners
•
Replacement Azimuth Motor
•
Belt Tension Device/Meter
•
Torque Wrench(es) 0-75 Nm with hex wrench sockets
•
Loctite Threadlocker 222 – Low Strength - Removable
•
Loctite Threadlocker 248 – Medium Strength – Removable
1.
Remove the azimuth cover. Please keep track of all screws and their original location after
removal.
2.
Locate and remove (2) mounting screws securing the azimuth encoder in place.
3.
Loosen the (2) set screws from the encoder. Disconnect the cable and you should be able to
lift away the encoder at this point.
Remove (2) Screws
Loosen (2) Set Screws
