Cleaning, maintenance and repairs
When cleaning, servicing and repairing the equipment, observe the
additional information provided in the following chapters:
"Responsibilities of the operator", on page 14,
"Qualification of the personnel", on page 14,
"General safety instructions", on page 20,
"Warnings and instructions", on page 28.
Observe these chapters for your own safety.
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting,
amputation, entrapment, entanglement, catching and impact may
arise if
raised, unsecured parts of the accessory equipment, e.g. the
cutting bar, come down or are lowered by accident.
Before work may be performed in the area below raised parts of
the accessory equipment, the corresponding parts need to be
secured against being lowered inadvertently.
the tractor starts up and rolls away by accident during work on
the accessory equipment.
Work to clean, service and repair the accessory equipment may
not be performed until the tractor has been secured against
inadvertent start-up and rolling away.
The accessory equipment including all optional extensions must
have come to a complete standstill before the danger area of the
accessory equipment may be entered.
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting,
amputation, entrapment, entanglement, and catching may arise if
hazard areas are unprotected!
Refit safeguards removed for cleaning, servicing and repairing
the accessory equipment immediately after all work has been
completed.
Replace defective safeguards right away.
WARNING
Dangerous situations may arise if load-bearing parts break as a
result of unauthorized work!
The following is prohibited as a general rule:
drilling on the accessory equipment,
drilling out holes already existing on the accessory equipment,
welding on load-bearing parts.
