Cause
Remedy
Blade not cutting properly
Blade is blunt
Sharpen the blade. (see chapter
"Changing cutting knives",
page 70)
Blade bent
Straighten blade. The blades
must rest against each other
without a gap along their entire
length
Blade worn out
Replace blade.
The tips of the moving blades
must be at least as long as those
of the stationary blades. (see
chapter "Changing cutting
knives", page 70)
Cutting bar bends
Pressure applied on the surface
of the transversal cutting unit
(long side) is too great
Use as much of the working
width as possible while cutting.
Use the blades evenly, e.g. work
from left to right before working
from right to left.
Extract the full depth of the block
if possible.
Before sliding in the tines, make
sure the cutting bar is above the
upper edge of the clamp.
The feed rate of the cutting bar is
set too high
