2 Appropriate use
Operating voltage /
supply voltage
The power line inverters have been deve-
loped for operation on 12 V DC battery
systems. For trouble-free operation, the
capacity of the used battery must meet
the minimum requirements. In addition,
the battery must be in perfect condition
in order to provide the specified power of
the inverter.
Mains consumers connected to the out-
put of the inverter must be approved for
230 V AC / 50 Hz sinewave voltage and
must not exceed the maximum power of
the inverter.
The system voltage 12V DC applies to the
input operating voltage and the external
control. This must be adhered and no
mains voltage (230 V AC) allowed to be
connected to input or output of the inverter.
Moisture
The inverter must be mounted protected
against moisture. The device is generally
not suitable for outdoor use.
Assembly
The following instructions apply when
choosing the installation location:
→
The inverter could be placed in all
installation directions.
→ Inverter must be installed protected
from moisture.
→
Inverter must not be installed close to
inflammable materials.
→
Inverter must be installed not in the
area of dust and dirt.
→
Installation location for inverter must
be well be ventilated. Small rooms
must have ventilation opening.
→
The minimum distance around the
inverter should be at least 5 cm.
→
The fans on the rear side of the inver-
ter should have a clearance area of
minimum 10 cm. Ventilation holes on
the front of the device must have free
space.
→
Ambient temperatures higher than
40 °C (e. g. in engine or proximity to
heating, but also direct sunlight) can
lead to premature switching off the
inverter, although the inverter is not
operating with maximum power.
→
The mounting surface must have
enough strength, be flat and suitable for
the assembly with screws.
→ The distance to the battery should not
be bigger than the connecting cables
and should not be extended to minimize
losses.
