4 Cleaning/Maintenance
4.1 Care and cleaning in general
The combustion chamber, all air supply channels
in the combustion chamber as well as the
connecting pieces to the chimney must be
cleaned in the event of soiling, but at least once
during and after the heating season. For this work
we recommend the use of a commercially
available ash vacuum cleaner.
Lever for keeping the combustion chamber
door in a fixed position
A steel rail is located on the lower inner side of
the combustion chamber door for limiting the door
opening angle and to keep the combustion
chamber door in a fixed position for cleaning
purposes.
In order to lock the door in a fixed position, open it
completely and pull the steel rail slightly towards
you. Now when you slightly close the door, the rail
locks into place and holds the door open. In order
to disable this fixing, open the door completely
and lightly push the steel rail back to its original
position. This device facilitates the cleaning of the
combus-tion chamber and the viewing glass. It
may only be used when the wood stove is not in
operation.
Cleaning of the storage ceramic cover
All you need to clean these components is cold
water and a micro fibre cloth.
The combustion chamber should be cleaned
regularly of excess ash.
4.1.1 Cleaning of the viewing glass
The viewing glass can be cleaned well with a lint-
free rag and household glass cleaner. In addition,
special cleaners, available in retail stores, are
also suitable.
If necessary, the top holder of the glass can be
loosened and the glass can be pulled out.
4.1.2 Replacement of the viewing glass
Important! The viewing glass is made of a highly
heat-resistant glass ceramic. Please only replace
with the appropriate spare parts, available from us
or your specialised Bullerjan ® retailer.
4.1.2 Cleaning and replacement of the
catalytic converter
Insofar as your Bullerjan B³ Keramik or B³
Keramik MAX is fitted with a catalytic converter,
this also has to be cleaned in the case of
contamination, or at least once during and after
the heating season.

Note: You might also hand over the maintenance
and replacement of the catalyst converter
cartridge, to your authorized Bullerjan dealer.
