3.3 SPECIFIC

SETTINGS

3.3.1 SHOCKWAVE

SETTING

COMPRESSOR MODE

It adjusts two different types of the mode of pressure control in the
system: - quick start

- silent mode

When using

quick start

, the pressure control in the system is activated during switching the device on, therefore

the therapy start is instantaneous. We recommend using this setting especially during frequent operations. The
disadvantage of this mode is a higher noise level of the device.

In

silent

mode

the pressure control in the system is activated only immediately before the start of therapy - during

entry to the manual screen of the main unit and after leaving, the pressure stops being kept in the system. That
eliminates the noise of the device, if not in use. The disadvantage can be the prolonged start of the therapy –
according to pressure in the system the start can be extended for about 10 to 15 seconds. We recommend using
this setting for quieter operations.

THERAPY CONTROL

Here, you can set whether you want the therapy to be controlled by the button on the applicator (

18

) or using the

foot pedal connected to the unit of the compressor (

40

). After selecting the type of therapy control, you can

continue by setting the options of the applicator button mode, or the foot pedal mode (see the following chapter).

APPLICATOR BUTON MODE / FOOT PEDAL MODE

This enables setting of the three different types of modes for the applicator button, or the foot pedal (according to
setting in the previous chapter). You can choose from:

- AUTO

mode

- Continual

mode

- ON/OFF

mode

When setting the

AUTO

mode

 the device automatically recognizes

the holdoff time of the button on the applicator (

18

), or pressing the

foot pedal (

40

) and the selected way of control. If you hold the

button or the foot pedal for more than 1sec, then after its
subsequent release the therapy will stop (as in the

continual

mode

, see below). During the time of pressing the button, or the

foot pedal, generation of shockwaves will be in progress.

If the button of the applicator, or the foot pedal is pressed for less than 1sec, then after its release the device will
be set to the option

ON/OFF

 (see below).

By selecting the

continual mode

you will set the generation of the adjusted shockwaves by only one press of the

button on the shockwave applicator (

18

), or the foot pedal (

40

), to end the generation of shockwaves, another

touch of the button on the applicator is necessary, or pressing the pedal.

During activated option of the

ON/OFF mode

it is necessary to hold the button of the applicator (

18

), or the foot

pedal (

40

) pressed throughout the time of the application of shockwaves. Releasing the button or the pedal stops

the generation of the shockwaves.

The setting is saved separately for the button of the applicator and for the foot pedal.
