14.1 Battery safety catch/cover
NOTE
Risk of damage!
If the battery safety catch or battery
cover is not correctly locked, the
battery may fall out of the holder.

If the battery safety catch/battery
cover does not lock correctly,
contact an authorized Brose dealer.
Different frame shapes and battery
mounting variants may require different
variants of battery safety catch as well
as battery cover and its lock.
Detailed information on the battery cover
is available from your authorized Brose
dealer or e-bike manufacturer.
14.2 Removing the battery

1. Unlock the battery lock

on the
outside of the e-bike frame by using
the key

The battery

now slides a
little out of the holder and is
held loosely in position by the
battery safety catch

Due to different assembly variants,
you might have to pull the battery
slightly.
2. Now remove the battery from the
frame with both hands.
14.3 Inserting the battery

NOTE
Risk of damage!
If the battery is not correctly locked,
the lock can open and the battery
can fall out of the holder.

The lock bolt is only properly
engaged and the battery secured
when the key can be removed.
1. Insert the key

into the lock

first,
otherwise the lock cannot engage
automatically.
2. Place the battery
(7)
with the
fixing
(17)
in the lower holder
(18)
of
the frame.

Even a very small slide angle is suffi-
cient.
›
Make sure that the battery is
correctly positioned in the holder on
the frame.
3. Now slide the battery towards the
frame and press it gently into the
holder.

The battery must audibly engage in
the lock.
INFORMATION
If the battery does not retract, press the
swivel connector
(19)
in the lower part
of the battery holder down slightly.
4. Make sure the battery is firmly in
place.
5. Always remove the key before riding
the bike.
