12 Charging the battery
WARNING

INFORMATION
·The battery can be charged up at any
charge level. Interrupting the charging
process does not cause any damage.
·The battery reaches its maximum
service life when charged at ambient
temperatures b10 °C and
+30 °C.
·The battery can be charged sepa-
rately or on the e-bike at any time
without shortening its life.

If you handle the charger improperly,
there is a risk of fire or electric shock.

Check the charger, cable and plug
for damage before each use.

If you discover any damage, do not
use the charger under any circum-
stances.

Only use the charger to charge the
pertinent original Brose battery.

Do not leave the battery and charger
unattended during charging.
INFORMATION
The battery is equipped with a
temperature monitor, which allows
charging only in the temperature range
between 0 °C and +40 °C.
If the battery or charger is outside the
charging temperature range, the LED
on the charger flashes red.
·Disconnect the battery from the
charger and allow it to cool down for
at least 2 hours in a cool place.
·Do not reconnect the battery to the
charger until the permitted charging
temperature has been reached.
