NOTE
For rails with round holes, use the clip nuts on the rails for securing the 10-32 screws. For rails with square holes, use
the retainer nuts. Refer to Figure 1 on page 5 and Figure 2 on page 7.

Installing the air filter

If desired, install the air filter to the air intake grill using the five captive screws, as shown in the following figure.

FIGURE 23 Installation of the air filter

Complete the following steps to mount the new front air filter on the air intake.

1.

Orient the new filter over the five mounting holes using the screws as guides.

The mounting is asymmetric, so the holes match up only one way.

Be sure the side marked BOTTOM is on the bottom.

2. Using the #2 Phillips screwdriver, initiate the threads, two turns per screw, until all five are started.
3. Tighten all five screws, one at a time.

Do not overtighten the screws as this will compromise the frame, admitting unfiltered air.
