General
The standard power unit of BRISTELL S-LSA airplane consists of ROTAX 912 ULS engine
and Fiti Eco Competition 3LR 158, 3-bladed, ground adjustable propeller.
Optionally other engines (Rotax 912, 914, 912 iS, Jabiru 2200, 3300) and propellers may be
installed.

Description and operation
10.2.1
Engine
ROTAX 912 iS Sport
is 4-stroke, 4cylinder horizontally opposed, spark ignition engine, single
central camshaft push rods
– OHV. Liquid cooled cylinder heads, ram air cooled cylinders,
dry sump forced lubrication, fully redundant electronic engine management (EMS) includes
fuel injection, ignition characteristics, etc. Propeller drive via integrated gearbox with
mechanical shock absorber and overload clutch. Oil tank, electric starter (12 V 0.8 kW), fuel
pump assy.
