14 BLOCKED
AXIS
MOVEMENT
To prevent the axes from being blocked the inside of the machines working area
should be cleaned on a regular basis.
If the axes movement becomes blocked by either swarf or a workpiece, the
removal of the object should never be attempted whilst the machine power is
on.
If swarf has become entangled around the moving parts of the machine, it must
be removed immediately to prevent possible damage.
When removing swarf, never use bare hands, always use protective gloves and
wear protective eyewear.
Never use hands when handling swarf, always use a tool designed for removing
swarf from the machine.
If a workpiece has moved and has blocked the axes movement, open the front
access door and then turn off and isolate the power. Seek assistance in
removing the workpiece.
If any damage has been done to the machine, call the service department to
inspect the machine, operating a machine that has been damaged may be
further damaged and may be dangerous to operate.
