SAFETY DURING MACHINE OPERATION (I)
Keep all the doors closed while operating the machine. The area inside the
doors contains many sources of potential danger – the spindle rotating at high
speed with a tool clamped in it, the table moving in 2 axes with a number of
workpieces, splashing coolant, and flying chips.
Never remove the covers unless it is for maintenance purposes.
Never start the machine operator without the safety devices in place.
The spindle speed must be lower than the allowable speed for the cutting tool.
If the spindle is rotated at a speed faster than the allowable speed of the
cutting tool, the cutting tool may be broken or fly out, causing machine damage
and/or operator injury. For the allowable speed of the cutting tool, consult he
tool manufacturer.
The tool balance must be better than G2.5. Out of balance tools may damage
the tool or spindle and may cause danger or injury.
Do not run the spindle above 10,000rpm without a tool in the spindle taper.
The tool clamp mechanism may cause vibration and affect the spindle life.
