Storage
•
After use during a season or when the machine will not be used for a period of time, thoroughly inspect all
major systems. Replace or repair any damaged or worn components to avoid loss of time at the start of the
next season.
•
Store the machine in an area away from human activity.
•
DO NOT allow children to play on or around the stored machine.
•
Store the machine in a level, dry area. Support the structure on plates if necessary.
When placing this machine in storage, follow this procedure:
1.
For models with engine refer to engine owner's manual regarding storage and prepare engine for storage.
Remove fuel, grease, unplug batteries, etc.
2.
Remove all working material such as grass, foil and ropes.
3.
Carefully clean the machine with pressurized water or a water hose to remove all dirt, mud and debris. Avoid
getting the motor wet.
4.
Inspect all rotating parts for snagged material. Remove all snagged material.
5.
Touch up all chips and scratches to prevent rust.
6.
It is best to store the machine indoors. If this is not possible, cover the machine with a waterproof tarpaulin
and tie it securely.
7.
Store in an area away from human activity.
8.
Cover the machine with some type of tarp if possible.
When removing this machine from storage, follow this procedure:
1.
If covered, remove the tarpaulin carefully so as not to raise dust or dirt that may fall on the machine.
2.
Refer to and follow the maintenance and set‐up checklist.
