Appendix 6: How to Connect the Solar Panels Together  

(Installing the Ring Clamp Assembly) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1 x Ring Clamp Assembly 

1 x Seal Ring 

1 x Button Screw 

 

 

 

To install the Ring Clamp Assembly: 

 

Step 1:

   Clean both interconnecting coupling grooves and mating surfaces of the two components 

being connected (Header/s, End Cap or PVC Coupling) with a clean rag. 

Step 2:

   Insert one (1) Seal Ring into either mating coupling groove.  

Step 3:

   Push the two couplings together ensuring that the inserted Seal enters the opposing mating 

groove while placing the bottom portion of the Ring Clamp Assembly under the coupling 
components you are connecting. 

Step 4:

   Hinge the top half of the Ring Clamp Assembly over the coupling components and squeeze 

the top and bottom portions together until the two (2) retaining lock fingers securely clip and 
lock the two halves of the Ring Clamp together.    

Step 5:

   Using a Phillips Head Screwdriver, permanently lock the two halves of the hinged Ring Clamp 

Assembly together using the One (1) supplied button screws. Tighten until secure.
