According to standard EN 62135, capacitors connected via the mains
circuit (as the DC-link capacitors of the inverter) must not lead to a fire
hazard in the case of a fault.

Therefore our devices immediately respond with the„Main switch
tripped function“ - if the automatic check of the internal DC-link capacit
ors detect defective capacitors - in order to switch off the power supply
of the inverter.

Additional hardware (tripping device and main switch) with suitable
functionality needed.

Additional wiring needed.

•

In the case of a fault, the timer signals „Main switch tripped hardware
fault“ and short-circuits the terminals 2 and 3 at X8 (changeover
switch; floating).
With a corresponding wiring at X8 (n.c.c./n.o.c.), this leads to an
automatic tripping of the main switch and thus to the power supply
being switched off with „safe isolation from the mains“.

A manual intervention at the tripping device and/or the main switch is
necessary to switch the power supply back on.

From production date calendar week 14, 2017 (FD 17W14) the in
verter PSI61/63xxL/W1 have an internal main switch tripped to fulfil
the requirements for EN62135. The external cabling for main switch
tripped in the cabinet can disappear. The function of the connection
X8 for main switch tripped is retained. The inverter PSI 62/64/65xx
W1 und PSI 61/63xxL/W2 will not be changed.
