Disconnect the base module from the supply voltage before carrying out any extension
or conversion work
Make sure that the polarity of the connections is correct. Observe color coding!
Carry out extension and conversion work without mechanical force

Do not touch electrostatically sensitive components or connection points!

The conversion is basically carried out in the reverse order to the extension of the system.
The following example describes the conversion based on the configuration of the base
module with an extension module in slot 2.
ATTENTION! Modification work may only be carried out when the equipment is de-
energized.
Step 1
Disconnect the three safety lab plugs of the extension module from the safety lab sockets of
the base module. Plug them into the safety lab jacks of the extension module (park
position).
