Bosch Power Tools
Type 0 607 350 198: Sanding without dust
extraction
– Use sanding sheets without holes.
Type 0 607 350 199|... 200: External Dust
Extraction
– Connect the vacuum hose (accessory) direct-
ly to the dust extraction
11
.
– The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the
material being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially
detrimental to health or carcinogenic, use a
special vacuum cleaner.
Operating Instructions
Putting into Operation
The air tool operates optimally with a pressure
of 6.3 bar (91 psi) measured at the air inlet with
the tool running.
f
Remove any adjusting tools before starting
the operation of the air tool.
An adjusting
tool still applied to a rotating tool component
can lead to injury.
Note:
When the air tool does not start, for exam-
ple after a longer rest period, disconnect the air
supply, and turn the sanding plate
9
around sev-
eral times. This removes the adhesive forces.
To
switch on
the air tool, press the On/Off
switch
1
down and keep it pressed during the
working procedure.
For
switching off
the air tool, release the On/Off
switch
1
.
Preselecting the Speed (see figure C)
The required speed can be preset with the
speed regulator
5
(even during operation).
The required speed depends on the material
and the working conditions and can be deter-
mined through practical testing.
Working Instructions
f
Always wait until the air tool has come to a
complete stop before placing it down.
f
Pay attention that self-adhesive sanding
sheets are mounted concentrically on the
sanding plate.
f
Disconnect the air hose from the air source
before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the air tool.
Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the air tool accidentally.
f
In the event of an interruption of the air
supply or reduced operating pressure,
switch off the air tool. Check the operating
pressure and restart the tool when the op-
erating pressure is again optimal.
Excess loads that cause the air tool to stall or
reduce speed will not damage the motor.
Sanding Surfaces
Switch the air tool on, position it with the com-
plete sanding surface onto the surface to be
worked and move it over the workpiece applying
moderate pressure.
The removal capacity and the sanding pattern
are mainly determined by the sanding sheet se-
lection, the preselected speed and the sanding
pressure.
Only proper sanding sheets achieve good sand-
ing capacity and give the air tool longer service
life.
Pay attention to apply uniform sanding pres-
sure; this increases the working life of the sand-
ing sheets.
Excessively increasing the sanding pressure
does not lead to a higher sanding capacity, but
to more wear of the air tool and the sanding
sheet.
A sanding sheet that has been used for metal
should not be used for other materials.
Use only original Bosch sanding accessories.
For
maximum speed
, push the speed
regulator
5
away from the air inlet con-
nector
3
.
For
minimum speed
, push the speed
regulator
5
toward the air inlet con-
nector
3
.
