Sanding Plate Selection
Depending on application, the air tool can be
equipped with sanding plates of varying hardness:
– Soft sanding plates: Suitable for polishing and
sensitive sanding, incl. on convex surfaces.
– Medium sanding plates: Suitable for all sand-
ing work; universally usable.
– Hard sanding plates: Suitable for high sand-
ing capacity on level surfaces.
Replacing the Sanding Plate
Note:
Replace a damaged sanding plate

– Pull off the sanding sheet

spindle in place with the open-end wrench.
– Unscrew the sanding plate

grinder spindle by turning counterclockwise.
Remove the washer

, place it on the new
sanding plate and screw it together with the
washer onto the grinder spindle, turning
clockwise.

– The second washer

can be used additional-
ly so that the random orbit sander does not
adhere to the workpiece when the dust ex-
traction is activated.
Dust/Chip Extraction

Dusts from materials such as lead-contain-
ing coatings, some wood types, minerals
and metal can be harmful to one’s health
and cause allergic reactions, lead to respi-
ratory infections and/or cancer.
Materials
containing asbestos may only be worked by
specialists.
– Use dust extraction whenever possible.
– Provide for good ventilation of the work-
ing place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-
class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your
country for the materials to be worked.
